VENUES

Conference venues

The conference will take place across several venues in Firenze, with all the scientific sessions hosted in the Novoli area, home of the the University Social Science Campus. Social and public events will take place in the historic city centre.

Novoli and the city centre are efficiently connected by the T2 tramway line, which links the city centre, Santa Maria Novella railway station, Firenze airport, and Novoli. Participants may therefore conveniently choose to stay either in the historic centre, in the Novoli area, or anywhere along the T2 line.
Please note that the last tram service runs at around 00:30. After this time, public transportation becomes limited and travelling between the centre and Novoli may be more difficult.

Below you will find detailed information on each venue and how to reach them.

NOVOLI - SOCIAL SCIENCE CAMPUS

All the scientific sessions will take place at Building D6 - Novoli Science Campus Via delle Pandette 9, 50127 Firenze. The campus is located outside Florence city centre. The area is directly connected to the centre, the airport and Santa Maria Novella train station by the T2 tramway line. The nearest T2 tram stop is “San Donato – Università”.

How to reach Novoli Campus

By Train: Arrive at Firenze Santa Maria Novella station (SMN), then take the T2 tram line at the stop “Alamanni - Stazione Santa Maria Novella” towards “Peretola – Aereoporto”. Get off at “San Donato - Università”.

How to reach Florence city centre

By train: Florence’s main railway station, Santa Maria Novella (SMN), is located in the heart of the city and is served by high-speed trains from all major Italian cities. From SMN, all central venues are within walking distance.
By plane: Florence “Amerigo Vespucci” Airport (FLR) is located about 6 km northwest of the city centre. From the airport, take the T2 tramway line from “Peretola - Aeroporto” to “Alamanni - Stazione Santa Maria Novella” (approximately 20–25 minutes).
By car: The A1 motorway connects Florence to Milan, Rome, and Naples. For the city centre, exit at “Firenze Nord” or “Firenze Sud”, then follow signs for the city centre.
