ACCESSIBILITY
&
INCLUSIVITY
One of the main goals of this conference is to ensure a welcoming and positive experience for all participants. We therefore encourage you to inform us of any specific needs either during the registration process or by contacting us directly at congresso@sibe-iseb.it.
Information for participants with children
For parents, we are exploring the possibility of offering professional childcare services, which are not included in the registration fee. We kindly ask you to let us know as soon as possible, and in any case no later than during registration, if you plan to bring your child or children to the conference, indicating their age. We will do our best to arrange a dependable and affordable childcare service.
Information for participants with other specific needs
We are committed to ensuring full accessibility and mobility for everyone attending the conference, regardless of any physical limitations. The main hall, where most of the conference activities will take place, and its building are fully wheelchair accessible. Disability-reserved seating can be arranged upon request, and we kindly ask you to indicate any such needs during registration.
We are working closely with the venues’ accessibility services to ensure that the event is as inclusive as possible. Real-time captioning will be available upon timely request, so please inform us during the registration process if you require this service. Participants with disabilities who need an accompanying
person will be granted free access for that person upon presentation of appropriate certification.
We also encourage you to contact us in advance to share any specific requirements, so that we can prepare adequately. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when completing your registration. Should you have any other particular needs or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. All requests will be handled confidentially, and we will do everything possible to make your participation as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Equity, diversity & inclusion
SIBE is firmly committed to equal opportunities, diversity, and an environment free from discrimination and harassment. We strive to foster a respectful, fair, and dignified atmosphere for all, ensuring that every participant feels welcome and valued.
We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and productive space for everyone wishing to attend this event, regardless of gender, race, ethnic origin, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, parenthood, or disability.
If you believe that any of these principles have been breached, please contact a member of the Organising Committee. All reports will be treated seriously and in confidence, and, if appropriate, referred to the SIBE Executive.
