Old Congresses

5° Congress. Trento, 28-31August 2013
The 5th ISEB Congress was held in Trento from 28 to 31 August 2013 and it has been co-organized by ISEB, Edmund Mach Foundation (FEM),  MUSE of Trento (Science Museum), and by the Center for Integrative Biology-CIBIO of the Univerity of Trento. Symposia were on several topics, among which 'Palaeobiology', Evolutionary Medicine', 'Genome Evolution', and 'Biodiversity and evolutionary processes'. The Conference was closed by a 'Wallace day' at MUSE, dedicated to the dissemination of Evolution to public. The Congress was held in Trento, in the hearth of Italian Alps.

4° Congress. Milano, 2-4 September 2010
The IV ISEB congress was held in Milan from 2 to 4 september 2010 and was organized by the Univerity of Milan, the University of Milano Bicocca and by the Natural History Museum of Milan. The conference was attended by many scientists. The conference was preceded by a workshop dedicated to molecular phylogenetics, organized by Francesco Santini.

3° Congress. Alghero, 2-5 October 2008
The III ISEB Congress was organized by the University of Sassari and had 158 attendants, with a total of 87 contributions, namely 54 posters and 33 oral presentations. 3 symposia on education and dissemination of Evolution were also added to the conference program.


2° Congress. Florence, 4-7 September 2006
The registered participants were 230. The oral presentations were 53, and the total of contributions (oral presentations + posters) was 116. The abstract book was published by Aracne (ISBN88-548-0723-0). 13 articles on researches presented at the conference were published in a special issue of BMC Evolutionary Biology.
 

1° Congress. Ferrara, 24-26 August 2005
The Ferrara congress was attended by 175, from 19 Italian Universities, 10 foreign Universities, and 6 research institutes and public institutions. Oral presentations were 32, and the total contributions were 75.
